Elise Thurman
Physiotherapist

Hello, I’m Elise!

I graduated from La Trobe university in 2022 with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Physiotherapy Practice. I have since been working in the public sector in a variety of settings including the acute hospital environment, inpatient rehabilitation, aged care, outpatients, community and aquatic physiotherapy.

My passion for ‘Helping Kids Soar’ began during my university studies, particularly after completing a placement at the Royal Children’s Hospital with the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service. I’ve also had the privilege of working as a community support worker and basketball coach for children of all abilities. These experiences have allowed me to work with a diverse range of children, broadening my understanding of the many challenges and opportunities that kids with disability and developmental delay face.

Sports have always been a central part of my life, and I’m passionate about using this love for movement and teamwork to support children and their families to keep active and have fun while focusing on their goals.

Availability and contact:

I am a company director & Physiotherapist with my own young family, so I can understand what real-life is like with young children and help you set achievable goals and therapy plans that work in with your family life.  It also means that my works hours are variable and guided by my own kids' school and kindergarten times.  Please email or leave a message and I will get back to you during my work time.

This is a growing business, and I have many creative ideas about how to provide services to the Southern Grampians Region so please keep a look out for upcoming availabilities and new services.
